- Pay starting: $26.10 + Shift Differentials
Shifts available: Weekend Day Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Weekend Night Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Our plant operates 24/7 so we have multiple shifts available, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, 12-hour shifts, etc. Note – If you are selected for an overnight, evening or weekend shift, you may be brought onto a different shift initially for training purposes before starting on your actual shift.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Coating Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Ensure the efficient setup and production of quality material on their assigned coating line
- Responsible for coordinating job changeovers, monitoring the master control panel, and accurately recording and entering production data, including test results
- Provide guidance and instruction to personnel on the line as needed
- Complete accurately and in a timely manner, all required production reports and quality data entries utilizing PMCS/OPRA and designated software
- Review Manufacturing Order schedule and prepare/plan for upcoming production runs
- Lead and coordinate production runs to meet targets based on job specifications and work instructions
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Maintain housekeeping at machine areas according to established standards
- Master all controls and consoles related to the whole operation on the line
- Be proficient in web handling and alignment, coat weight variables, tension control, all coating methods, NDC scanners, web drying settings, and safety controls
- Monitor and document productivity results as well as reason for misses utilizing designated tools to
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start
- Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment
Applicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.
