Position Summary: Helps execute Aviation sustainability solutions and programs for both Business and Commercial Aviation, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Book & Claim (SAFc) supply and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help execute end-to-end commercialization strategies for SAF and SAFc. Assist in commercial opportunities by working closely with SAF Supply/Suppliers, Sales/Customers, and IT.
- Coordinate with Sales and Supply teams to execute a SAF/SAFc portfolio.
- Operate in multiple IT systems, processes, and technologies to support our SAF business, including Oracle quoting workbench processes; systems for Proof of Sustainability (POS) documentation, handling, and distribution; and evaluation, operation, and integration with SAF registries.
- Help ensure compliance and integrity of “green attributes.” Manage internal processes, including assisting compliance efforts for North American Aviation. Support and participate in audits for our sustainability certification efforts (e.g., RSB CORSIA, ISCC CORSIA, and EU RED).
- Maintain knowledge of all WKC sustainability solutions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of energy and energy transition issues, carbon market trends, and technology development for voluntary and mandate markets.
- Assist in analyzing SAF and sustainability market trends, forecasts, and balances.
- Help to develop internal and external training on SAF and SAFc.
- Desire to represent WKC in industry trade groups and coalitions related to sustainability and SAF.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance and working knowledge of Climate Change policies, energy, and carbon legislation.
- Developing proficiency in renewable fuels technologies.
- Tenacious character and a genuine passion for proactively developing sustainability solutions.
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Highly collaborative, work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in energy markets, energy transition, and sustainability.
Education:
- Degree in Environmental Science or similar.
Specific Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Energy transition issues, policies, impacts, and trends.
- Ability and willingness to learn, develop, and utilize new IT systems.
- Attention to detail is paramount.
Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements:
- Focus on North America but global exposure.
- Occasional travel.
