The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the Occupational Therapy Program Lecturer position within the Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions. This position will be responsible for program compliance/oversight of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program baccalaureate project and assist in the curriculum design, strategic planning, teaching, and student advising for a new occupational therapy assistant program per the Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) Standards.
Minimum qualifications for the position include: Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an ACOTE accredited program, USDE-recognized institution is required; master’s degree in a related field that is accredited by a USDE-recognized institution is required with an education focus preferred; two years of clinical experience in the field of occupational therapy is required; teaching experience is preferred; practicing occupational therapy assistant (OTA) certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is required; currently certified and licensed in the state of Alabama or be eligible for licensure; understanding of scholarship and project design is preferred; and national and state organization memberships are preferred.
