Position: Bicycle Adventure Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Americus, Georgia
Position Overview
This is a truly unique and important position for which we are seeking a diligent and mission-focused leader who will serve as a face of the organization for our life-changing Bicycle Adventures. In this position you will have the opportunity to help oversee and participate in a program that is our largest fundraiser and public-awareness event, creating friendships with amazing people around the country.
Now in its 17th year, the Bike Adventures are long-distance bicycle rides from one to eleven weeks in which volunteers stop to help build or repair homes on Fuller Center projects along the way. Riders young and old can join this journey of faith and service for the whole way or for week-long segments, with about 200 riders typically participating for various distances each year.
Our Bike Adventure Coordinator(s) work on a team with full responsibility for the planning and execution of the Bike Adventure schedule of events under limited, but important direction from the event’s Founder and advisory board.
This position is about overseeing a program, not just leading bike rides. As such the candidate should be enthusiastic about the organization and mission, not just riding a bicycle, and a wide range of skills and interests are needed.
