We are currently seeking a motivated, analytical individual for an entry-level, full-time Merchandiser position at our Corporate Office in Omaha, Nebraska. This role offers hands-on training in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where you will gain exposure to commodity merchandising, supply chain management, and risk management within the agriculture industry.
As a Merchandiser, you will work with soybeans and finished soybean products while developing relationships with suppliers and customers. This position is ideal for someone looking to build negotiation, problem-solving, and market analysis skills while learning the fundamentals of hedging and commodity trading.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandise soybeans and finished soybean products
- Negotiate transactions with suppliers and end-users
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with key customers
- Participate in supply chain coordination and risk management activities
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimize operations
- Research, analyze, and interpret market and industry data
- Represent the company at plant locations, customer sites, and industry events
- Travel periodically to production facilities and customer locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, or a related field
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Comfortable negotiating and operating in a competitive environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Interest or background in agriculture, farming, grain, soy trading, or soybean products preferred, but not required
